About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity now exists for a highly experienced and professionally trained Senior Business Analyst to join the OneCBS Project team and contribute to a large-scale, complex business and technology transformation program of works for SA’s Consumer and Business Services (CBS).
The primary role of the Senior Business Analyst for the OneCBS Project within Consumer and Business Services (CBS) is to provide business analysis and project implementation capabilities to support the business demands.
The Senior Business Analyst will be required to prepare business findings reports, deliver workshops and develop process models, training and communication documents and implementation plans. We are looking for a specialised individual who is able to provide options, recommendations and solutions based on complex business and data analysis. The Innovation and Transformation team, within the Attorney-General’s Department’s Consumer and Business Services (CBS) wants to hear from you if you have:
- Significant experience in Business Analytic-type roles.
- Experience in leading project work packages, as part of formal Project Management teams.
- Proven ability to think strategically, analyse problems and recommend effective and efficient solutions.
- Sound experience in analysing data, providing advice and producing related reports.
- Specific knowledge of and experience in analysing data and preparing correspondence and reports.
- Demonstrated ability to champion change and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, targets and goals.
- A high level of communication and interpersonal skills, which enables the ability to negotiate and liaise effectively with people at all levels.
- Ability to run effective workshops in order to obtain the relevant information for the development of process models and business requirements documents.
- Demonstrable high-level experience with Business Analysis techniques such as Use Case Modelling, Business Process Modelling, requirement analysis, Iterative interrogative techniques such as “5 whys” etc.

Consumer and Business Services (CBS) employs around 200 staff and our primary purpose is to facilitate business, protect consumers and record life events. CBS currently comprises eight branches, with two points of executive oversight.
CBS constitutes a large part of South Australia’s business/consumer regulatory system, and is the regulator for many businesses and professions.
