About the Opportunity

We are looking for a communication specialist who has both the professional qualifications as well as the working experience to join our team as an autonomous operator; proactively partnering with all areas of our business to facilitate and elicit quality, professional internal and external communications.

The role is diverse and will require skills in strategic communications planning, content research and development, and writing for a range of audiences; through to website and intranet management, coordination of Corporate internal events and presentations, as well as developing a monthly all-staff Executive communique.

The Attorney-General’s Department’s Consumer and Business Services (CBS) wants to hear from you if you have:

  • Highly developed professional communication skills, including exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • The ability to develop effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders, internal and external to State Government.
  • The ability to manage the interests of a wide range of stakeholders, negotiate positive outcomes and achieve high quality results within tight/demanding timeframes.
  • The desire to provide a quality end-to-end communication service as an autonomous operator.

Qualifications in communications, public relations or a related discipline is essential.

 

About Consumer and Business Services

Consumer and Business Services (CBS) employs around 200 staff and our primary purpose is to facilitate business, protect consumers and record life events. CBS currently comprises eight branches, with two points of executive oversight.

CBS constitutes a large part of South Australia’s business/consumer regulatory system, and is the regulator for many businesses and professions.
