About the Opportunity

The primary purpose of the Agency Security Advisor role is to lead and manage the provision of security programs for the Attorney-General’s Department (AGD).

The Agency Security Advisor role is required to provide expert advice on matters relating to security across AGD and leadership in areas related to protective, physical and personnel security.  The role is also required to ensure that AGD meets standards as set by legislation and the SA Protective Security Framework.

To be successful for the role the candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in formulation of, and contributing to Security Management policies and procedures;
  • Demonstrated experience in providing high level policy advice to Government, clients and other relevant stakeholders;
  • Demonstrated ability to think logically and analytically, undertake research, analyse problems and provide creative and effective solutions, which may be outside of existing practices

Special Conditions for Employment

Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be will provided further information if an interview is requested. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD.

  • Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required
