The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions was established through the Director of Public Prosecutions Act, 1991 to provide an effective, fair and independent criminal prosecution service for the people of South Australia. About the Opportunity
The primary purpose of the Secretary is to provide a quality, confidential administrative and secretarial support service to all sections of the Office, including legal officers, Witness Assistance Service, Legal staff, Management and Executive. The role will be exposed, either directly or indirectly to confidential, sensitive, confronting and/or distressing material including photographs, written descriptions and other evidentiary material.
The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate proficiency in keyboard skills with successful completion of an approved typing test at 65wpm with 98% accuracy.
If part-time work arrangement is agreed for this role, that arrangement will take into consideration the requirements of the Office to provide the optimum level of staffing at all times to meet workload commitments.

Special Conditions for Employment
Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be advised to submit their National Police Check Application form, including certified identification documents, to the AGD if an interview is requested. The form is not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD. If you are invited for an interview you will be required to bring a completed Job Application Pack and National Police Clearance form and ID.
The incumbent may be required to work out of hours and must be prepared to be available between 8am and 6pm if required.
