About South Australian Civil and Administrative Tribunal
The South Australian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (SACAT) is a state tribunal that helps South Australians resolve issues within specific areas of law, either through agreement at a conference, conciliation or mediation, or through a decision of the Tribunal at hearing. SACAT also conducts reviews of Government decisions. SACAT strives to be accessible and responsive to customer needs, and deals with cases in a large range of areas (or jurisdictions). The Tribunal operates across the state of South Australia and is a key part of the state justice system.

About the Opportunity
The primary purpose of the Community Access Officer role is to manage complex applications to the South Australian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (SACAT), from lodgement until completion. The role of Community Access Officer is customer facing. The Community Access Officer provides a high level of quality support services that contributes to the effective operation of SACAT.
The successful incumbent should possess the following personal qualities:
- Deliver high quality internal and external customer service;
- Adapt quickly to changing and emerging priorities;
- Remain positive and recovers quickly from setbacks;
- Adapt effectively to change;
- The ability to interpret and apply legislation;
- Proven written and verbal communication skills including with diverse audiences;
- Experience in the use of case management systems and word processing software; and,
The ability to provide a high level of administrative support

Special Conditions for Employment
Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be advised to submit their National Police Check Application form, including certified identification documents, to the AGD if an interview is requested. The form is not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD. If you are invited for an interview you will be required to bring a completed Job Application Pack and National Police Clearance form and ID.
DHS Child Related and Vulnerable Person related clearances will be organised by SACAT, should you be invited to an interview.
